In the Municipality of West Elgin, Ontario, standards: Yards must be free from rubbish, debris, hazardous objects, overgrown grass/weeds >20cm, dilapidated structures, pests, dead trees, unlicensed/inoperative motor vehicles, and wrecked/abandoned vehicles; enforcement: Upon owner default on a final binding order, the Municipality may enter the property, do the required work, and recover its expenses as provided in the Building Code Act.
