In the City of Prince George, British Columbia, standards: No person shall cause or permit a nuisance: noise, littering, odour, accumulation of water/liquids, unsanitary conditions, or other objectionable situations; enforcement: Council may issue written order to abate; if ignored, City may abate at owner/occupier expense and recover costs as debt or via property taxes; standards: Refuse/garbage accumulation, unsightly/untidy property, derelict vehicles, broken fencing, dead or overgrown landscaping, building decay, graffiti, noxious weeds, lawn over 10 inches; enforcement: Bylaw notice, then written order; if owner fails to comply, City performs work and recovers costs including $200 administrative cost from owner.
